Clay Phillips was, by any measure, an outstanding young man. He was 21, a rising star in the culinary world and a great friend to many, many people. If you ever met Clay you couldn’t help but notice his zest for living and his amazing smile. In the early hours of Wednesday, Feb. 3rd, Clay was killed in an automobile accident.
The concept behind Skip One For Clay is simple. Consider skipping one meal for Clay! That’s right, skip one meal and send a check, money order or on-line donation for the amount you would have spent on that meal to the Clay Phillips Memorial Fund. All contributions to the fund will benefit students seeking degrees in the Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of Charleston. Clay found his passion in cooking. Perhaps we can help some other young people find their passion, follow their dream and keep Clay’s legacy alive. Please send the link to this site to everyone you know!

Clay’s family would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming turn-out at both the Duncan and Charleston memorial events. Your kind words and thoughtful prayers have helped us so much over these past days. Please help keep Clay’s spirit alive in your continued thoughts and prayers.
